Privacy Policy
Effective August 6, 2026. How we collect, use, and protect your information.
True North Canine ("True North Canine," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and provides dog training services in Celina, Texas and the surrounding Dallas Fort Worth and North Texas area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. If you have questions, contact us using the details in the Contact section below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver training services.
- Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, city, your dog's name, age, breed, behavior history, training goals, and anything else you include in a form, text message, email, or call.
- Service records. Evaluation notes, program selection, session notes, progress updates, photos and video of your dog taken during training, vaccination and veterinary records you provide, and emergency contact details.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by third party payment processors. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Automatically collected information. IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, pages viewed, and general location at the city or region level, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries, schedule evaluations, and provide training services.
- To send program updates, progress reports, scheduling reminders, invoices, and receipts.
- To care for your dog safely, including contacting a veterinarian in an emergency.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website and our services.
- To send marketing messages when you have asked to receive them, and to honor opt outs.
- To comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights and safety of people and animals.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
3. Phone Calls, Text Messages, and Email Consent
When you submit a form or give us your number, you consent to be contacted by True North Canine by phone, text message, and email about your inquiry and your training program. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out and HELP for help. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message or by emailing us. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work and may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor as an opt out request where required by law. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
Some pages embed third party content such as Google Maps and Instagram posts. Those providers may set their own cookies and receive your IP address when their content loads. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers. Hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, and payment processing vendors who work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Veterinary and emergency care. Veterinarians and emergency personnel when your dog's health or safety requires it.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect legal rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Photos, Video, and Testimonials
We may photograph or record your dog during training and use that content to document progress and to promote our services on this website and on social media. We do not publish your full name, address, or contact information without your permission. If you prefer that we not publish media of your dog, tell us in writing and we will honor that request going forward.
7. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools
We use AI assisted tools to help draft website copy, produce or enhance some illustrative website imagery, and help organize routine communication. AI assisted content on this site is reviewed by a human before it is published. Some imagery on this site is illustrative rather than a photograph of a specific client dog, and is labeled or captioned accordingly where it matters.
- We do not use AI to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and we do not profile you for that purpose.
- Training recommendations, evaluations, and behavior assessments are made by Patrick Mullooly, a human trainer, not generated by an automated system.
- We do not knowingly submit your sensitive personal information to public generative AI tools, and we do not authorize vendors to train public AI models on your personal information.
- Any AI chat or assistant feature offered on this site will be clearly identified as artificial intelligence and is not a substitute for professional veterinary or behavioral advice.
8. Data Retention and Security
We keep inquiry records only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business and legal purposes, and we keep training and payment records as long as required for tax, insurance, and liability purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to correct it, to request deletion, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights.
To exercise a right, email us with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows, generally 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and Texas residents may also contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
10. Third Party Links
This site links to third party websites and social profiles that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our services, technology, or the law change. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
